SILHOUETTES
In a WFH world, we ask ourselves, can a sitting room only really be a sitting room? Tucked away at the end of a hallway, we imagined a tranquil space removed from the day-to-day activity. We composed the room as an ensemble of human activity, layered with foliate motifs, vibrant neutrals, and blue, green, and cranberry hints. Our draped daybed with traditional hydrangea-patterned fabric provides a sense of comfort for lounging and napping. A sinuously shaped leather armchair represents technological craft and emphasizes clean and serene simplicity for reading or chatting. An original Arts and Crafts chair adds structure for desk-side writing and working. We created a catchall for conversation and reflection, focused on shape, geometry, and texture to harmonize a group of distinct domestic elements. In our room Silhouettes, we bridge our interests in dressmaker details, technological craft, and historical references, married with atmospheric effect.
